EOC: WEEK 8 Creative Content

What I want to do for my creative content is do a voice recording of me promoting my product. It will be something similar to a radio broadcast to get people on board with this product that actually is not a product at all. In this promotion piece I will introduce the name where it can be found the cost and I will very briefly be describing how it looks so nobody would miss it when shopping. Basically it is going to be a full on promotion in about 30 seconds.

Implemention evaluation control

After planning what and how I am going to sale this product I think I would need to test this product to see if it is actually good or bad. By using focus groups of people that will whole-heartedly give me there honest opinions I will have some of this vodka made to be tested. What I am actually looking for when testing this product is how easily it goes down, I want to know if it is light or heavy, I want to know if they would buy this if their last dollar depended on it and I want to know how the customer responds to this drink while drinking and kind of drunk as well. I want to see all of the different effects it could have on different people. So testing the product all the way around I feel is the only thing that could make or break a product even before you put it out there to the world.

Distribution

Knowing where to distribute a product can be a make or break move. Knowing who to distribute a product too as well can be a make or break move. I want all 50 states in the US to sale this product. I want all 50 states to sale this product because where ever some one goes if this is there favorite I want them to be able to get it where ever they are at. I think it is going to be a shocker when someone is new in an area and see that this one drink if its their favorite is right there with them. Its almost like its moving with them. I want to distribute this product in Greece as well, being that the water is from their I feel it is only right the people of Greece can taste the product that depends on their country. Being that "distribution is the process of making a product or service available for use or consumption by a consumer or business user, using direct means, or using indirect means with intermediaries". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distribution_(business) by definition I want to actually transform the definition to real form. I want this product to be available for everyone old enough buy and sale at all times. I feel like the amount of time spent into something is worth it if what you are doing excels.

promotion

The promotion tool that is going to mostly be used is of course the internet. I figure if you can Google it then you can sale it. In my opinion promotion and advertising goes together so using all my resources such as word of mouth and which is considered free promotion and television would be the best ways to promote this product. "Sales promotion includes a wide assortment of tools—coupons, contests, cents-off deals, premiums, and others—all of which have many unique qualities."(book) page 383. I also would want the local bars that do tasting put my vodka in the mix as well. However, because "Sales promotion effects are often short-lived, however, and often are not as effective as advertising or personal selling in building long-run brand preference and customer relationships"(Book) Page383, I wouldn't just have sales once a year, probably every time the seasons changed, simply because I have noticed the amount of parties people have when a new season comes and towards the middle of the season. Basically by allowing there be no limitations whether it be money or the amount of time being put in this this product has no choice but to do what it supposed to do which is sale. Utilizing all of my resources, not some but all if I can from word of mouth to PR even getting the message on the radio just anything to promote this product effectively.

price

When pricing a product I understand and see why you have to do some homework not only on the product but on all of the other product prices. Since, "Price is the only element in the marketing mix that produces revenue". (Book) Page 275. My standard 24 oz. bottle which will be a lot of different places and stores my bottle will be priced at 25 dollars easy. It's a good quantity and it will do the job for those barely legal, just becoming 21 year old kids. The best part of my bottles is that when you buy them in other states the with the price being so low they wouldn't even have to change the price to fit the area, whether it's in a city that has less or a city that has more. It's a great quality drink just don't be fooled by the Price of the standard size. Now, going bigger, the Mega Kayse as I call it is going to be the biggest bottle this company will produce for this particular product. It's a half gallon bottle which will be priced at 75 dollars to start so I can see if it will be bought in other states that aren't really heavy drinkers like a lot of other states."Unlike product features and channel commitments, prices can be changed quickly. At the same time, pricing is the number-one problem facing many marketing executives, and many companies do not handle pricing well". (Book) page 275. Because they say many companies do not handle pricing well I feel like I wouldn't have to really touch my prices because they are so reasonable amounts. I gave examples of the standard size bottle and the biggest bottle because the in between bottles are so obvious. Half pint would be 7 dollars, pint 10 dollars, the fifth or standard 25 dollars, a quart would be 35 dollars and the half gallon as I said previously will be 75 dollars.

Objectives

The primary objectives for this product is to of course sale. But before we can even sale, our marketing objectives are to know who we are selling our product to. Being that we want to know who we are selling our product to we only offer online visuals and stores that it can be located at. With King Kayse vodka our objectives are to see what the customers like because the people are the ones buying it so instead of focusing on what we like, why not pay attention to what the customers like and want. By doing so, we will actually try to come up with a way to fulfill all of their wants and needs when drinking this vodka. I feel by meeting all of their demands there is no way they wouldn't buy it because basically they made it. I would value my customers opinions because they are the ones who are going to be drinking it. I feel like if I follow the microenvironment plan plus giving the people what they know they want as a drink, I can't fail. As I read in the book on page 67. I seen that having a firm company who markets the suppliers, and team up with "intermediaries who help the company promote, sale, and distribute.69"(Book) Page, who also market and target competition, who also understand and know the public to see what they want and how much should be available to one area, and who acknowledge that the customers are who make a product bigger than what it has to be.

target market stategy

With this product I found that I would have to do a lot of research about the two different kinds of people when it comes to drinking vodka. The groups of people that likes it and the groups that don't. When putting a product out there I have learned that you need to know and understand the group of people you are talking to. So with this product our target area would of course be the group that obviously likes and enjoys to drink without a purpose. That is fine and all but that is most definitely not our main target. I had to dig deep into the people to see what they wanted and what they liked to even consider making this a reality. "In an ideal world, you would use market research to find out what your customers want and then design products to suit them". http://www.marketingdonut.co.uk/marketing/marketing-strategy/product-development.
"The strategic plan defines the company’s overall mission and objectives". (Book) chapter. 2 pg 49. With that being said our strategic plan is to market the people that we mostly relate to first. Conservative people that like to actually taste there drink and not just chug it.
I will also be focusing on the Place i will b selling this vodka at from searching for the right stores to searching for the right states and areas in those states, from the biggest cities to the rural smaller cities or towns. I feel like we have a great Product so that is not really a strategy. Promotion, in these areas would make a big difference on whether or not we will sale and our Price is just unbeatable. I want the customers to feel like royalty for a low price. Just because the price is low does not always mean that the quality of the product is not good because this product will trick you. Which is the reason why the price is so low. You are getting something great for an affordable price, you can not beat that. I think this is a great strategy also known as the 4 Ps. "Guided by marketing strategy, the company designs an integrated marketing mix made up of factors under its control—product, price, place, and promotion (the four Ps)". (book) chapter 2 page 49.

Week 7 EOC: The Pitch

Week 7 EOC: The Pitch

The product I have in mind to make a reality is a vodka product. The product name is called KK vodka, King Kayse and it's aimed towards the younger to older generations, meaning 21 and up. I would make my vodka using ethanol and water that comes from Greece. Not taking out the saltiness flavor of the original water from the minerals in the water I want some of that to stay in because I want people to notice the irregularly good flavor which is the salt as soon as it hits their tongue. Vodka in general is known to be kind of strong or hard liquor and this one is like different because it's not to strong or salty it's like the best vodka that you can drink. From the taste and aftertaste of when it's in your mouth to the smoothness of when it goes down. Everyone knows when it goes down smoothly people are likely to drink more, which means they will buy more. My thought is, when people start loving a product they tend to demand more and more. So when that happens I would want to start flavoring the vodka. Being that the vodka has salt in it, when flavoring it I would probably have to reduce the amount of salt or add more sugar, because i don't want it to be like Ciroc or Absolut vodkas when they say it has flavor but you never taste it until the end. I absolutely want you to taste the flavor. There are so many different flavors that their would be no reason to not be able to sale. I want my biggest problem with this product to be that it can't stay in stores or on shelves long enough. I think people would really love this. I want people to think royalty when they see and taste it. This is definitely not like your average vodka. Its only fit for a true king.

week 5 EOC: Consumer business buyer behavior

Week 5 EOC

I really don't like the term ambassador because it makes you feel like you're getting cheated when you by a product. for an example, If Michael Jordan was to openly call himself an ambassador of a brand, which is probably true I probably wouldn't buy them as much as i do because I feel like that word is saying like there king bow down and buy their product, even though that may be the case.

"The brand ambassador approach has its critics. For example, some view the practice as underhanded or deceptive. However, to avoid charges of deception, most firms advise their ambassadors to openly reveal that they are representatives. Others worry that brand ambassadors will be perceived as hucksters who promote products because they get free stuff—or, worse, as annoying evangelists best avoided. “To the contrary,” says an executive from RepNation. “Our brand ambassadors are seen by their college friends as entrepreneurial, creative people.” page 144-book

I agree with the book when it says some critics view the brand ambassador approach as underhanded and deceptive, because I feel like that's where the buying guilt comes in at like when you buy something you really want but know its really not that important you kind of feel bad when you actually make the purchase. I believe that is exactly how they want you to be. As long as you buy their product that's all that really matters. Especially in this generation parents buy their kids all the latest stuff because everyone else has it or everyone else wishes they could have something, which creates competition, which makes sales for a product go up.

week 3 EOC: MY Demographics

Week 3  EOC

I feel like i would probably classify myself in the millennial demographic group because i was born in the generation where technology was just about to become something major and nobody really realized it at that point, but clearly it has taken over. Unlike these kids born today i've had the best of both worlds i guess you can say because i've had a great childhood that did not consist of me staying on a computer all day and night or having a phone to me ear 24 hours a day. I actually could go and run around, play outside with my friends, and if i wanted to i could get on a computer. these kids today will never be able to understand that it was okay if you didn't have the latest technology because that didn't matter.

Michael Kors  is on a mission to stop world hunger. Michael Kors teamed up with (wfp) world food programme for his campaign "watch hunger stop". The concept for this campaign is basically self explanatory. For every  Michael Kors watch sold 100 meals are donated. Their goal is to donate 5 million meals and so far so good with 3.4 million meals have been delivered. Which would explain the MK watch trend that has been going on for almost two years now. Specifically, each watch that has been purchased donates 25 dollars to the (WFP) charity and that is not all. michael Kors has a number people can text and donate five dollars to the charity or more if you would like. It has been a lot said about the Michael Kors brand but as people can see through his charity he wants to help stop one of the biggest problems in the world today which is the fight to end world hunger.

Week 2 EOC: Boston Consulting Group- Video games

Week 2 Eoc: The Boston Consulting Group- video games

The BGC was hired by a global video game company to develop a global strategy for expanding beyond entertainment related services. They had to develop a fact based strategy over the course of four monthsla.bcg.com/work/expansion/default.aspx. Video game makers market their products around little kids and the tv shows they watch and also through there parents. they figure if they can get he child to want it most parents test things out before giving it to the child and the parents get hooked on the game or system before the child does."Through a recent survey of UK families, the channel found that 75% of parents they surveyed now play video games with their children, and that children aged 10 or undertake most of their gaming recommendations from their parents http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/jul/23/16-trends-that-will-change-the-games-industry.

Michael Pachter said, "Growth in the 'traditional gamer market' could require leaving traditional consoles behind.http://www.latinpost.com/articles/81272/20150923/ps4-xbox-one-wii-u-lifetime-sales-predicted.htm. With Playstation 4 by sony being a number one seller it has been predicted to sale around 120 to 130 units or more in a lifetime also by Michael Pachter video game analyst. coming behind sony is Nintendo with the Wii U which has been predicted to sale around 20 million units and in my opinion i do think that is big because this is where it all started.

I personally love the fact that video games where invented but to see the different styles from along time ago till now is unexplainable. I think it is very interesting that there are so may different ways you make one product redevelop. It makes me wonder if the consoles and games had the software back then that it does now how different would it be now or if they would still be making them.

week 4 EOC: The Cult Of Apple

Week 4 EOC: The Cult of Apple
If I could make a app that people today would be interested in it would have to be an app for shoes. specifically Nike and Jordan. I would have my app associated with those two brands simply because that is what I like, that is what i'm always around, and I buy jordans every month for my son faithfully. Nike holds big names with their brand and because of that, they put out a new shoe probably every week. Jordan doesn't really hold too many names for the brand but the name of the brand speaks for itself. Michael Jordan issues a new shoe at least once a month very seldom he issues two shoes in one month that everyone wants to buy. Unless you like to go through the struggle of searching and finding out what shoes come out when my app would not benefit you. My app would have to be an official shoe calendar that people can use to know what shoe by name, picture and price of a shoe that is coming out. This app will be able to send alerts whenever a date for a shoe is changed. Because it is an app, or a  direct line to know when a popular shoe is coming out I just saved everybody the struggle of looking for something they might not find until it's too late.

Week 1 EOC: My voice

Personally my personality is very calm and quiet. I may appear timid and scared to some and overly confident until it is annoying to others. My name is April Martin and this is my voice. As an aspiring photographer to be I plan to first take the United States by storm then head to different countries, tropical countries. I love the urban vibe of street photography but i will never want to be limited to just street and urban photography. Even though I love pictures of tattoos, graffiti and the urban styles people wear and live around I would never want to just be limited to that. I want to be versatile. I want to do it all just like famous photographer Scott Church he does every type of photography you can think of. Being a child that was born in the city and raised in the south I noticed the different scene's of the two different areas which just means there's nothing that I will be limited to as a photographer.

Week 1 EOC: Great customer experience

You know how when you go to the store expecting to get one thing and you end up getting a lot of things that you just do not need. Thats what happens to me all the time, but this one time was like the best ever. I went into McDonalds to get 1 double cheeseburger, 1medium fry, and 1 drink that's it. So I go up to the counter to place my simple meal and go sit down in one of there chairs, twisting and turning in it and I remember i forgot to say no cheese on my double CHEESE burger so I go back up to the counter to tell them I did not want any cheese. The man behind the counter was like "here's your food". With my omg face I told him that I forgot to tell them no cheese. He gave me the best response which was; "don't worry about it ill make you another with no cheese". When he called me back to the counter he had a big bag and i'm thinking oh no that can't be for me., but it was. He had not one but 2 double cheese burgers with no cheese, 3 large freshly made fries, 2 apple pies, and he gave me a sundae knowing I couldn't eat it for the same reason why i did not want cheese. when I asked why he gave me all of that he said "I seen you come in here with your brothers and your my little cousin". Now if thats not good customer service i don't know what is.
